PILLAR TALK ON CD
At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005, Edward performed his one-man play Pillar Talk about the fifth-century Syrian saint Simeon Stylites, the remains of whose pillar he had visited that year. He subsequently recorded a radio version of the play which will shortly be available for the first time on CD and can be purchased through Brainfood Audiobooks UK. HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES
How to Talk to Girls at Parties, a sci-fi romantic comedy directed by John Cameron Mitchell and adapted from a short story by Neil Gaiman, had its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival in May and was recently screened at the BFI London Film Festival. In the film, which is set in 1970s Croydon, Edward plays an androgynous alien, ‘PT First’. HTTTGAP will be on general release in the UK some time next year. Watch the official trailer:
A BRUSH WITH VERSE
In August, Edward published a new anthology, A Brush with Verse, comprising many original artworks as well as poems and essays about art. The slim volume includes a CD and bonus large postcard and is available exclusively through Peth’s Staging Post.
